Friday, December 7

Opening Night – 4-H members, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts Dance; A Touch of Class D.J. 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  Santa’s Secret Sweet Shoppe will be open.  Santa will be visiting 7-9 p.m.

Saturday, December 8

A night for royalty – Little Miss and Little Mister Snowflake – 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Only 15 girls and 15 boy’s applications will be accepted.  Ages 5 – 7 years old.  Registration due by Friday, November 30.

Sunday, December 9

Christmas Goodie Bake Off (nothin’ smells better, than somethin’ from the oven) baked goods/candies must be brought to the dining hall from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon (cash prizes, ribbons, bragging rights!!).  Judging begins at 1:30 p.m.  

Holiday Market 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  For your last minute Christmas shopping – Taylorville High School Sports Booster, Taylorville Memorial Hospital Quilt Guild, Jewelry & Accessories, Painted Knickknacks & Chairs, Books For Everyone’s Pleasure, Stanley & Fuller Brush Products, Up, Mary Kay, Painted Gourds & Crafts & Baked Goods by the Nazarene Crafters,  Fuse Class & Jewelry, scrap booking supplies, Discovery Toys, and Homemade Stitchery, Homemade Candies and Pampered Chef.

Santa’s Secret Sweet Shoppe will be open.

Monday, December 10

Soup with Santa with Happy Days Entertainment 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. features storytelling, face painting, magic clown, games & balloon animals – FOR ALL AGES!!!!!  Come join in the fun and a hot cup of soup too.   Santa will be visiting 6-8 p.m.

Tuesday, December 11

Kids-n-Kritters pictures with Santa 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Witter Photography will be the photographer.  $6 donation or bring an item for the local animal shelter.  Need a gift for your special friend, Dogwood will have items for cats and dogs.  Santa’s Secret Sweet Shoppe will be open.

Wednesday, December 12

Square Dancing – Don McConnell caller.  Come and watch and even join in the slower pace of dance 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  Santa’s Secret Sweet Shoppe will be open.

Thursday, December 13

Supper with Santa – Sponsored by McDonalds 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. featuring Richard Landry, Comedy Magician.  Pre-registration required.  Limited to 100 participants.  Santa will be visiting 6-8 p.m.

Friday, December 14

Come view the “Live Nativity” provided by the Nazarene Church from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  The Fellowship Corner Christian Store will have an array of articles available for your shopping pleasure.  Santa will be visiting.  Santa’s Secret Sweet Shoppe will be open.  Santa will be visiting 6-9 p.m.

Saturday, December 15

“Circle A” D.J. – Becky Ammons.  Line Dance for all ages, an evening of foot tapping and more 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.  Santa’s Secret Sweet Shoppe will be open.

Sunday, December 16

Supper and Bingo with Sonny Bertucci 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  “Ticket” required for admittance - $1 donation (pick up at park office).  Limited to 150 senior citizens.

Monday, December 17

 “Family Arts Night” 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Activities will spark the imagination of budding artists with many artistic avenues of fun.  An evening designed to highlight that the arts are a visible and vital part of everyone’s lives.

Mike Delaney – activity table – decorating Christmas gift bags sponsored by the Taylorville Area Arts Council – Scrap booking and Decorate A Cookie.  Emmerling Gift and Book Emporium will be hosting a book fair 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Several authors will be present and we are inviting everyone to come and meet and greet them (some authors are new, some have added another book and some are just old friends).  Books galore for all ages and a special signing of the author for those who purchase a book from the author.  See you there!

Tuesday, December 18

Come view the “Live Nativity” provided by the Nazarene Church from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and the fellowship Corner Christian Store will have an array of articles available just in time for last minute Christmas ideas.  Santa will be visiting 6-9 p.m.   Santa’s Secret Sweet Shoppe will be open.

Wednesday, December 19

Need some stocking stuffers or last minute Christmas Gifts?  It’s Taylorville Night at the dining hall with theTaylorville High School Tornadoes Sports Boosters Tommy Store and Decorate A Cookie.  The Taylorville High School Band will be promoting their band trip and the YFL Cheerleaders bake sale 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Santa’s Secret Sweet Shoppe will be open.

Thursday, December 20

The Ansar Shrine Clowns 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Fun, laughter, surprises, magic, balloons galore!!!!  The “Reason For The Christmas Season”, a live nativity by St. Mary’s Catholic Church youth 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  Santa will be visiting 6-9 p.m.

Friday, December 21

Ballroom Dance Night with Ron and Paula – Bringing back memories of a simpler time in life with your favorite tunes 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.  Santa’s Secret Sweet Shoppe will be open.

Saturday, December 22

Want to make something homemade?  The Christian County Extension Service will have a Holiday Christmas Craft Shop from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.  Jodi Heberling, course instructor.  $5 fee for materials, must be 8 years of age or older.  Santa will be visiting 7-9 p.m.

Sunday, December 23

Your last time for the special requests to Santa 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Santa’s Secret Sweet Shoppe will be open.  Santa will be visiting 6-8 p.m.
